Our families are only one faulty product being introduced to our home or one absent minded moment or even one natural disaster away from catching fire. When this moment comes, there’s only one solution.  Being prepared.  Preparation includes having and practicing fire drills, establishing a meeting place and the earliest possible warning. The solution is to provide quality early warning and must be the most reliable warning available.  Your family is worth it.

Our team has designed a better approach.  We provide a network of multiple sensors and alerts. We chose not to use the technology found in average smoke alarms or any combination of it.

Our multi-sensor technology uses a Texas Instruments micro-processor and radio frequency to link optical smoke, rate of rise thermal, fixed temperature heat and CO detecting sensors into one private network for your home. What this means to you is when Carbon Monoxide is detected in one area of the home, the network will alert you through every alarm. If smoke is detected the network will alert you through all alarms. And if a fire is flaming on the stove, the heat sensor will trigger the network, sounding the alarm.  No matter where the fire starts or is detected, you will be alerted in your bedroom and anywhere you have a unit!

In the manufacturing world, we are required by code to provide T-3 sound pattern for a fire alarm and a T-4 pattern for Carbon Monoxide. It’s those three beeps or four beeps you hear when alarms go off.  Manufacturers use piezo horns to achieve this sound pattern because they are lightweight and compact and can generate the required 85 decibels.  It may surprise you to learn those sound patterns are not required because they’re the most effective at waking us.  Actually, they were chosen because they are the international signal for evacuation.  Or at least the T-3 is.  They use the three blasts of sound followed by a pause on boats when they give the abandon ship signal.

You’ve probably seen media reports of children, adults over 40, the hearing impaired and even inebriated sleepers not waking from the piezo horn in average smoke alarms. Once again, our network takes a better approach.  Of course, we must use the T-3 and T-4 because it’s required by code, but we incorporate an amplifier to boost the piezo horn achieving 100 decibels.

In a home fire, waking you up can be a life and death matter.  Because we believe this, our team takes alerting you to another level. We added to our multi-alert network by using a cone speaker at bedside.  This delivers an 89 decibel 520 Hz Square Wave signal at your pillow. The 520 Hz square wave is the soundwave proven to be more effective at waking us up.  Our team went one step further.  Research shows a bed shaker is more effective at waking us. So, we added a vibrating puck to the network which shakes the bed.  With multiple alerts, we combine different sound waves, decibels and senses to wake you. Our goal is to make sure you have the earliest warning of smoke, flames or carbon monoxide.  This early warning will give you time to escape.

Because we’re a network using smart technology and not just the average interconnected alarms, we offer and event positioning system in our software.  We call it EPS. When the network detects fire or carbon monoxide, the network sounds the alarm, you can silence it from any station. When silenced the sensor that initiated the network alert will continue to sound.  This allows you to escape the fire or investigate where it started.

So, we have multiple sensors and multiple alerts.  Smart technology driven by semi-conductor micro processors and connected with radio frequency.

Most people ask us why and how we do all this?  First, the why?  We saw a problem.  Thousands die each year from home fires in the U.S. alone.  We’ve found this is because of low cost manufacturing, old technology and a lack of awareness.  People don’t think they can have a fire, they believe they have plenty of time to escape and they believe they are prepared.  They believe, their smoke alarms will work. They truly believe the minimum thing is the only thing.  Our team took all the misconceptions into account and realized there was a better way.

So how did we do it better? First, we built a more reliable product with redundancy and quality. You see, unlike an average smoke alarm, we’re engineered and manufactured in the U.S.A. Of course, we’re distributed globally. Some people no longer think that U.S. manufacturing matters but we think it makes all the difference, especially when it comes to quality. We used a long life industrial lithium manganese battery with an expected 20 year life. This pioneering effort is how we meet the UL Listing for 10 years and we are able to power a Texas Instruments micro-processor providing smart technology to our network.

This simply costs too much for the average smoke alarm manufactured with cost in mind.  Our Radio Frequency module communicates with a 200 foot range vs. the industry’s standard 50 feet.  We engineered a unique frequency hopping feature to increase communication in our network.  The list goes on and on.  The reasons our products are superior, are so many, we list them on our website and spec sheets.  The average smoke alarm cannot compete with our quality.

Our team then decided to educate and bring awareness. We decided to provide our products through independent authorized distributors who could help homeowners with fire drills, meeting places and fire prevention tips as well as provide proper placement and factory certified installation of our network.

Due to our multiple sensor approach and wireless connection, our network offers what the average home fire alarm can’t. We protect bedrooms and hallways where you sleep but we can also guard places like the kitchens, attics, garages, laundry rooms and basements. We protect places in the home where fire is most likely to happen.

For flaming fires, our rate of rise thermal detection alerts you of a flaming fire as early as 100 degrees and doesn’t have the nuisance and false alarm problem of ionization when cooking or shower steam is close. This allows placement directly over your stove for the quickest warning of a grease fire!  We alert you to fires in the garage and attic when they are still in your garage and attic, before they get to the bedroom or hallway.

The average smoke alarm requires the homeowner to vacuum the smoke chamber each month. Nobody does this and the chamber gets dirty causing false alarms. Our optical sensor has a twist lock chamber that’s easy to clean with compressed air. The network will alert you when and if a chamber needs cleaning.

Our CO sensor activates our network faster than the average CO alarm due to a quartz crystal. It’s like the timing device in a nice watch. Once again, it’s too expensive for the average alarm but keeps accurate time. Because of this, we can measure the CO in your home faster and more accurately & provide a quicker response. And remember, when carbon monoxide is detected, the whole network goes into alert!

Of course, because we’re wireless, we’re portable. You get to take this protection with you and your family if you ever move.

So, quality is what we’re all about.  We are so much more than the average smoke alarm.  Our network approach is better. Our quality is unmatched. We believe quality is worth it. We believe your life is worth it. We believe your family is worth it.
